Senior Manager; Applications Development
Job Purpose
To plan, organize and lead a team of Software Developers to deliver internal developed innovative, flexible, cost effective and efficient IT software solutions required to run new or changed business products, under coordination of a Technology Project Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage interactions with Retail and Wholesale business teams as well as Technology Solutions Design team to understand and translate the business requirements / new products into internally developed software solutions that meet targeted market, regulatory and security standards.
Responsible for delivering internal and external systems integrations projects through the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), ensuring high availability, recoverability, high performance, security and technical documentations.
Responsible for managing internal software development projects, including mobile phone applications, observing international standard software development life cycle.
Manage relationships with ICT Solution providers and the respective Service Level Agreements (SLA) on product implementation.
Manage operational costs associated with implementation of systems analysis, systems integrations and software development.
Provide statistics and periodic reports to aid in management decisions.
Direct, manage, develop / train and provide guidance to direct reporting staff, setting targets / balanced score cards, conduct performance evaluations and corrective action to ensure that staff knowledge and skills are sufficient to provide effective and efficient maintenance service necessary to meet the established job requirements.
Inspect and certify invoices of vendors & service provider related to existing SLAs on-site support.
Prepare monthly progress report of Self Service Channels (SSC) systems project implementation to the line manager.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related academic field.
Project Management PRINCE2 certifications.
ICT Service Management ITILv3 certifications will be an added advantage
Professional training / certification in Self Service Channels banking systems
At least 5 years of relevant work/management experience in systems analysis, systems integration and software development; 3 years being in Self Service Channels products / projects implementation.
Experience in Back up / Recovery, security and Systems / Business Continuity systems design.
